From Patterns to Proficiency
In this course we will start by exploring a variety of fingerstyle patterns we can use to support our singing and playing. Then we will kick it up a notch and learn some more complex songs that break the pattern mold and take your playing to the next level. You will not only gain some great new songs for your repertoire, but also become a more proficient player ‘sans pick’! This course is suitable for guitar players who know the common first position chords- a knowledge and ability to play barre chords is useful but not essential.

Dave Dunnigan is a public school teacher who has been playing and teaching guitar and ukulele to both children and adults for too many years to mention (think decades!). When not teaching others, he can be found performing with the acoustic trio House Wine, riding his road and mountain bikes around the Lower Mainland, cooking for family and friends, or taking long walks with his wife Kim and dog Kira.
